i just joined ancestry.com cos i've not been having much success on certain branches of my tree via the free and "buying credits" routes (after intial success which probably gave me a false sense of security ) /// |

Births from 1923 are not completely indexed yet so you may not find them by entering a name and year on the main search page, you will need to go directly to the FULL BMD indexes and search manually. |

Ancestry can be quite cumbersome to get around, but I'm finally getting there with it myself. Stick with it. |

Ancestry is a good tool as it has a lot of databases and downloaded family trees but takes a bit of getting used to. |
