Hi, could anyone explain what this is please? I have found on e-bay a book on these for the regiment my great grandad was in, and was thinking about getting it.

Attestations papers are the forms the men would have to fill in and sign when they joined up. Some are very informative (name, age, place/dob, next of kin, previous service etc). Not sure what that book will contain - whether it's just a list of names and dates or the full transcribed Attestations. Are you able to contact the Vendor to ask? Leah
