Hello, I have my grandfather's cousin's medal/ plaque. We think it is a Commonwealth Death Medal from WW1. He went to South Africa, but cannot find him listed in commonwealth war graves lists online. Any tips??

You could try the UK National Archives website, google it and select the homepage, followed by the Military History option. You will be able to download a copy of your relatives campaign medal card (costs 3.50) and from that you may get a little more info. Also try the 1914-1918 net site (google it) it has a forum plus lots of fantastic links for researching 1st world war veterans. Good luck! Teresa
