Iam from Melbourne, Australia looking to identify photos of English soldiers (relatives, orginally from Norfolk) in my possession. We have a few really good ones in full uniform with a name and it's dated. I just can't find them or identify their families on this site or ancentry. How do I go about finding information from Melbourne on English soldiers. They are dated around 1917 wtih one them taken in Malta the other at the Crystal Palace. Please help?

Have you looked on the medal roll index on the National Archives site? Try here: www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/militaryhistory/medals/ The nat. archives also has a virtual exhibition about WW1 which might help you. nell
