The father actually belonged to a 'gun 'club' !!!
why doesn't he practise there instead of a back garden where his small children were playing.

The man's an idiot!!! and I think he should be charged with negligence of a minor.

Do hope the little boy recovers from this horrendous injury.

Target practice in a Garden with kids about?

When any of our little uns come to visit, everything they could injure themselves on is put away.

Children never see danger in anything, and one of my rellies left a staple gun about, he turned his back, and his five year old son stapled his finger, and had to go to hospital.

As my Dad used to say, 'You have to have eyes in your a... when little children are about'

In yet another 'accident' a five-year-old boy has died after being shot in the head with an air rifle, it has emerged today.

I make no excuses for adding this to an earlier thread on the same subject. Some of you will remember that there was a member on her trying to justify ownership and use of air rifles.

I'll leave it at that.

I will write out 100 times....

I must check the date before reading all through threads!!!

I had not heard of this latest one either, what is the story behind this one. The trouble is people never learn. There are stories all the time about cats and other animals being the targets of airgun/rifles (our cat was shot a few years ago) and it is always said, next time it could be a child. why don't they change the legislation so that it is more difficult to own and use these things.

Just looked at it, what a lovely wee lad.
I dont understand why, they let these guns go on sale.
They should ban them, or at least only have them at clubs.

There is nothing wrong with airguns..........its the bloody stupid users that are the problem......

these weapons should be kept safe, locked away, and definately NO target practice while children are in the vicinity..........UNLESS they are being taught how to use a airgun SAFELY,and CORRECTLY............

I bet somebody knows who it was.
Years ago a so called friend of my sons fired one at him as a 'joke' it just scratched his face. I didnt hesitate to phone his father who then dealt with it..
