Just watched and was very interesting I thought... is it me being a tad irreverent to suspect that if, as was stated , approx 10% of the population a hundred years ago might have had syphillis, then a number of researchers might be scurrying with trepidation to their trees at the moment to check gaps between living children ? |

I too found it very interesting and if had I been Martin Freeman I would be wanting to check for anything in the present generations and doing something about it. Grand-daughter is specialist in HIV and maybe this is why I take this more seriously. |

It was very interesting to hear what syphillis can do. I was unaware of the death of children but did know about blindness. I really enjoyed this episode as it was very informative. |

Another interesting thing about the house is, it was pulled down and the town library built on the spot, the very place I go to look at records & fiches.........life can be very weird!! |

I can only imagine, Mau. One of those coincidences that really can make your blood run cold, I guess. |

Did anyone notice that, when Martin was in a car - on his way to his brother and driving to Kent - a single magpie was in the road! |
