So pleased that you had a good holiday and that the kids did too. It will take a couple of days to sort the jet lag so don't plan too much for the next few days.

Your holiday sounds absolutely brilliant. Where did you get the energy from?

Makes me feel exhausted already and I am only taking the grandkids to Camber Sands tomorrow until Friday.

Feeling better after a few hours kip now :o))))

It was very humid, my face was shiny all day, every day.

When we arrived in Florida ( around 3pm their time), as we got off the plane, and out of the terminal the heat hit us like a wall of flame., within a few days we got used to the heat, and the standing in ques LOL !
Thank Goodness for air con, which was up full in the car, and in our hotel room :o))

...Oh and I actually felt slim on hols, there were so many big people out there...no scrub that..ENORMOUS people out there... I lost any feelings about being self consienseness.

No wonder, he portion sizes in many places are hefty, and refillable drinks, such in Mcdonalds (imagine full sugar ) encourage hidden calories to be consumed.
Annuver thing is the amount of salt they put in their food, fries in most places are very salty, their popcorn is the salt variety (YUK ! ) as are lots of the other food stuffs., then there goes the vicious circle, salty food...thirsty...drink...eat more salty meal...refil on coke...it goes on.

Oh and I dont want to eat another burger, fries, rib etc for a while, but I must say I really miss breakfast pankakes and maple syrup with fresh fruit already :o(((

Hi Elaine,Glad you had a good time:-))
Thats one thing that disgusted me about America, the food:-((
I got so fed up with the huge portions and wasting it that In the end we would order just one meal and share, its criminal what they eat!

We could have gone to watch the shuttle go up Bob, but it was pricy for 4 adults (the kids are over 9 ) and the launch was after midnight, so we would get thee late afternoon, do the tour etc, watch launch then get back to the hoel in the morning. It would have taken 2 days out of the holiday, as it would have left us sleeping part of the next day to catch up.

Also as it was scrubbed a few times, each time you would have had paid a further $25 each to watch it, even if it diddnt go up...no refund. we just couldnt afford that, especially as we had storms most days, the chance of it going up was quite slim at the time, so much so, if it never went up by fri, last week, then it would have been scrubbed till oct.

hopefully if we can save over the next 2 years we want to do 3 weeks in Florida, so will fit in a trip to KSC, even if the shuttle will be retired by then :o(((
