I would say when they cheat on you.

Why do people say they are "friends" with their exes?

Unless there are children involved and you have to keep a reasonable civil relationship, why stay friends?

I don't want to look back, I hate the sight of him. I have moved on and he knows where I live as he used to pick up the children, but he's just moved in the street I live in aaaggghhhh!!!!

Can I just copy Daff's post instead of writing it all out. Same here, as I met my lovely man when I was 15 and am still with him 49 years later my romances before him were very young.

I sort of hid... or didn't answer the phone.... or walked home from school on the other side of the road.... or sent the notes back round the classroom unopened.... well, I met the love of my life when I was 15, started going out when I was 16, and married him when I was 17.... been married 37 1/2 years now, lol

Rose coloured glasses well and truly off.... but his little idiosyncracies endear, still (mostly!!) rather than infuriate, lol

When I found out I,d been away for a weekend at a Hotel with my (Now ) Ex wife. when at the time I was driving back from Persia,( Iran Now).**M**.

When I found her in bed with someone else.

Shock at the time but it was the best thing that could have happened. I eventually met someone else and we have been together for 25 years, very happily. Life is so much better than when I was with the first one, wish I could meet her now, I would shake her hand and say, "Thanks".

At the point where I couldn't stand the sight of them, or the sound of them for one second more.

I remember one boyfriend who thought he was Rod Stewart . Well he may have looked a bit like him but he sure didn't have the singing voice to match.
But HE thought he did. And insisted on singing to me ALL the blinky time, wailing tunelessly into my ear. I'd scream at him to shut up but he was so vain he thought I was joking so he just carried on.
He had to go. And quick.

i think for me it was when a guy i was dating was secretly dating an old friend of mine .and we bumped into each other and had a good old chat [as ya do]...........she said she was dating a guy called phil..my reply wow so am i.............i said he comes from k----------th omg she said .soooooooooooooooo does mine .............im suprised we not bumped into each other sooner.i said im off to meet him now .she said we ll no im off out with mates tonight ,he has a biker meet to go to.[PENNY DROPS]hes said that to me before ...BIKER MEET....HMMMMM.so i said is his last name ...B--T.she said .um ...yes why.i said cos thats who im meeting in 10 mins .turns out she had started going out with him 3 days before me .well instead of me turning up to meet him ,she went.me ..... i went off to the pub.hasten to add he came in 2 hours later sporting a thick lip.i said you got off light.had i have turned up i would have hit ya with a peice of 3 be 2.lolol.and yes ..........he got dumped by both of us.xxxx

He looked like the love child of Bob Dylan and Donovan - but he had a broad Hampshire accent.
Final straw was when we went out he was 'with the lads', I was 'with the birds'!

but when i met my hubby i couldnt stand him
could even stand to be near him in the biker bar

ended up married to him for nearly 35 years

there was a time when I thought I was "so much in love" with a Rod Stewart look-a-like. He was a mate of my cousin, who, strangely enough, looked a bit liike Mick Jagger. The pair of them had a flat on the Kings Road.

Young and oh so very impressionable, off went I to this "flat" (for which, read shoe box)

My bubble was well and truly burst when "Rod" put his socks in the oven to dry them off for the following day!
