What is the cost of your membership compared to what you found yesterday?

I keep my main tree on another site that links to Ancestry but always renew my subs on here. One day I may have a genuine hot match and although I come and go I can have months without coming into GR and then a few months when I feel like im never away.

Also when the winter draws in and its too cold to go out, some of the people on here can make you laugh so much with their antics its a small price to pay.

well yes Christmas, easter and all my birthdays came at once, its a lovely feeling, and to actually talk to a living relative you thought was dead is even more thrilling

up early to get a good start on the rest of the family

but I have a dilemma

My GR membership is up in two days, i wasnt going to renew it, BUT, will i need to use GR for information i cant find on ancestry, or indeed to ask for advice on here, umm will have to think hard on that one

Well thats it for one day, two complete new familys added to ancestry and GR one more to go, and tomorrow look for the family that adopted mums sister

just married off another sister from my Granddad New side

and found him another sister yahoo

yes Maddie i was so nervous my heart was going and my mouth was dry, but shouldnt have worried she was so nice but most people are from the wirral and surrounding areas


planning a day up there already lol

well i got one family all entered on to ancestry, blimy why do they have to have so many children it takes forever.

I have contacted distant rellies before. It is amasing when you piece together your family ties. Makes the hairs on my arms stand up, when a distant rellie, can tell me a link, that I have not posted.

Julie i bet thas was wonderful for you, and one day you will meet

I found a living relative I did not know I even had, on here. Our Gt. Grandfathers were brothers, so I'm not sure how many times cousins we are. At first we e-mailed each other for a while, but have now spoken on the phone on a Sunday morning for about eighteen months. She is way up north, whilst I am in the Midlands, so don't know when we will get to meet. It nearly happened on Boxing Day when she was passing through here on the way back from Cambridgeshire, but I was rushed into hospital. Who knows, maybe one day.
