Thanks Amanda, I already have some as I always keep it handy, often forget to use it but bought a new supply a few weeks ago so will take the bigger new bottle as well as other stuff I have and our wall plug with the pellet things to use at night. I was at an Aloe Vera party recently, can't remember the brand name, but I bought the cheapest thing they had which is a Lip Salve with Aloe Vera and Jojoba cos they said it works on mossie bites and I thought it would be handy to have in my bag. Little did I know I would be going abroad this soon!

Marilyn, Bikini?????? Are you kidding, you want me to get locked up???

Well I have just bought a couple of underwired bikini tops from bhs online sale, they should be delivered before I go, only £6 each and I can wear them under a shirt or loose top till I get to the beach and maybe if there aren't too many people I can strip off. Obviously I wouldn't walk around in them but covered up they will be ok till I get away from view lol

Jo, hi love, been meaning to phone you for weeks, are you still a single Mum or is your time up? Could ring tonight perhaps or Sat. night if you would be about? pm me and let me know.

I have been to Kefalonia twice and we both loved that so this should be as good. I really wanted to go to Crete but couldn't get anything, I wanted to go near where the island for the lepers was and have a look, after having read the book The Island. Maybe another time.

Jo, when I win the lottery, you will have to escape and come on a tour with me, Malta, Greek Islands, where else shall we go before dropping in on Huia in N. Z. unless we meet her in Greece lol Mary from Canada and all my other pals could meet up with us somewhere too, wouldn't it be fun? I did read that a lot of the buildings were sandstone which is like Malta so I wil see the similarity I expect. I always like those little bell towers next to churches.

Brenda, I wish I could whisk you over with me, love. You take care.

thanks everyone for your input. Will let you know which place we finally decide on tonight.

Hi Liz, so pleased you have your hols booked. You will probably be plagued by excursions to everywhere as you know. And I am not one for them myself, always like to make my own way..lol ... BUT the one you must do is to Paleokastritsa. It is on the west of the island and so beautiful, and the drive there is stunning. If I remember rightly, we had a few stops along the way with an interesting itinery and learned a lot, plus a few drinks of the local wines (which you cannot do if you are driving !)
Enjoy !!

thanks Maggie, was a toss up between Roda and Acharavi, the other places on our short list were booked since yesterday.

I read on the reviews that it's cheaper and better to use a tour company called NKB (I think that's what it was, will have to check) rather than t. Cook as they are expensive.

Liz, you will have obligatory Reps meeting the morning after you arrive, handing out info on excursions. We always went just for the free Ouzo...lol
