It's the anniversary today. I know because I was in hospital having gone into labour with my son. It was horrendous, No midwives to deliver the babies! My son ended up quite ill because of that strike!... Can't believe he will be 9 on Monday. |

I didn't get stuck in any traffic - Paul did though - He was having to travel between home and the hospital (I was already in there) as he had to look after the girls. When my labur started he couldn't get to the hospital. Didn't matter in the end though - I didn't have the baby for another 2 days! |

My eldest was only a month or less old.......and I used to go to the 24 hr Tescos in the early hours when I had zero chance of getting any sleep anyhow and buy up loads of bread and distribute it to my family and friends lol x |

had a friend who was a driving instructor and he travelled to France to get fuel as worked out cheaper than trying to get it over here. |

Muffy.........my middle Grand child is five in Nov. I thought she was a baby until this May when " new grand child " arrived.......now the nearly five year old looks like a giant with really BIG features..............lol |

Iremember it well. we drove up to the west coast of Scotland, on a holiday paid for out of money I saved Not smoking. It was like one of those science fiction stories, where everyone in the world but us had disappeared, the roads were all empty, brilliant!! |

I remember the panic stations too as we got married on the 16th September, and it was a big worry as to whether our guests would be able to make it as they were all coming from afar. |
