Its so hot today we went to Redcar ( sea side)
and played with baby satan in the rock pools

WHAT have you done today???

no mac
but ive never seen the tide that far out before
the rocks were exsposed further than id seen ever before

well i will get out my mobile phone
and phone all my mates xx

i went to redcar rock pools to lol

we found crabs and fish baby satan loved it :)
went in the cafe for a light lunch

went to 3 booties and got conned by the littleman

and got meself a new dream catcher lol,

fun day had by allllll, now just waiting for me jacket spuds for tea then a bath n early night haha xxx

Was I missing something on fotbal espanyol today? Which Costa Brava-related team got beaten by (now, what was it?) - oh, yes - cinco!

I love Redcar. Almost as nice as Whitby:-) We make a point of having fish and chips there whenever we visit the UK.

mind the magpie cafe is so expensive
when the other cafes are just as good

Try Seaburn - for its lovely coast - and the Red Hut in South Shields for fish and chips to die for

I think it is not necessarily the place (sorry pun not intended) that you buy the fish and chips but the fact that it is fresh when bought at the seaside (well usually). We had fantastic Haddock and chips at West Bay in Dorset last Friday in an old fashioned type chippy, really fresh and we saw him batter the fish, lovely! We too, some time ago have had fish and chips at Whitby - lovely.But the best we have ever had was from a shop at Anstruther, eaten out of the paper.

I'm on the East Coast ( in Norfolk ) and was eating fish and chips in the car earlier this week , whilst looking out onto our North sea..........they where scrummy : ))

Joy, I've seen long line-ups at the Magpie so we've never bothered. We had lovely fish and chips in a small cafe that had looked straight out of the 50's. Laminate tables, chrome chairs and plastic flowers. We had a big plate of fish and chips, peas, a plate of bread and butter and a pot of tea for a very reasonable price. Can't remember the name of the place but it was very good.

when i lived in Ramsgate Kent
you could not get decent fish and chips anywhere
Whitby cod is the best ever

we used to get some lovely fish and chips in Stokesley
but the chippie change hands now they are all greasy

in Middlebrough its hit and miss some are good some are awful

i like the green chipy on the end in whitby near the band standy thingy me bob lol

altho most round there are nice, some of the smaller "unkempt" looking cafe are actually the nicest

the zetland cafe in redcar looks ruff n in need of decorating buttttttt serves the most lush sudays dinners lol

You could be right, Joy - I'm not sure. Very friendly staff including a young girl who kept giggling at my accent:-)

Stray you're right - we been in really scruffy cafes and had the best meals. Do you ladies know the Lion's Inn on top of Blakey Ridge. Expensive but very nice steak and ale pie.

we pass blakey ridge nearly every week sue
it very busy for a pub in the middle of nowhere

all the cafe in whitby have nice friendly staff

so have u got family in the north east sue im sure you have said before, but my memory is rubbish lololol

Stray, my OH comes from Stockton on Tees. We have family in Stockton, near Yarm and in Guisborough. I love the north east of England.
