The dusty old machine changed it's electronic tune to "everyone's a winner" and someone fetched a tray to collect Queenie's winnings.

"Beware the lure of bright lights and easy money" he said (as he scooped up her winnings into his back pocket)

The ever-trusting Queenie took him at face value.

.....before she knew it she was back in front of the library and once again the lure of the old dusty smell and the sight of rows upon rows of books pulled her up the stairs to the front doors............
