Yes, Claire, on my first one a couple of years ago... mine was fine, eventually.... but it would seem that my boob hadn't been squashed quite enough to get a decent picture. It is often for something as simple as that... when I had my last one a couple of weeks ago, she told me that sometimes they don't get all the lymph glands in the pic... she took an extra one of mine just in case... it came back ok.

Try not to worry.... I know that is easier said than done, but try and keep yourself busy.

Loads of love and (((((((hugs))))))

Keep your fingers crossed Claire
I had to go through this last time I had one
I was scared witless
I took my daughter with me to the hospital for my appointment for support.
I was lucky,it turned out to be several small cysts, but was a very worrying time.
The outcome is not always bad news
So try and think positive.
Good luck to you

Thanks you girls for your thoughtfulness,
My appointment is 9-30 on friday,,,its all done very quickly here which is a good thing I guess.
I remember one of my boobs really hurt after the mammogram so maybe its that side that there's a problem. Iv had a good poke around,,(hate doing it though) and cant feel anything,
I will be really glad when its over .

Some years ago I had a recall and of course worried like mad and although the return date was quite soon after the initial screening, it seemed like a lifetime. In the end, everything was all right.

Sending positive thoughts to you.

Love & cuddles

I was told straight away after my mammogram that I definitely had cancer. Within a fortnight I was in hospital and recovering from having my breast and the underarm glands removed. Thats about 7 yrs ago, and my surgeon still sends for me to have the other breast examined. He doesnt agree that it is not worth bothering at my age, 74.
