So far my tree is 100% English, half Yorkshire & half Essex.
Though I know there's an Irish link on my dads side which I'm yet to explore. And a supposed Scottish link in one of my mums branches (yet to be found).

Hey, Bernie, perhaps we are related!!!

Mothers mum had her in 1927, NO father on cert, another 1940, Father mentioned but not living with her, not wed either.

Father had son to legitimate marriage six months before me. Never did marry mum, despite three kids and living together for twenty years

And i've lost count of the "short" pregnancies following weddings.

Wow thanks for all the responses!

When I first started my tree I had the belief that people did not really travel that much, now of course I have found people moved for all sorts of reason, money, romance, to avoid detection, avoid prison lots of things!

I just wonder if they ever thought that there generations to come would live in entirely differing parts of the world or if living in another country who have been an almost impossible concept to grasp, if they were a family of labourers etc like mine seem to ahev been.

Like many of you, I have no one famous, I don't seem to be anyone's missing heir) etc, but it is is just interesting to see if families move, when they moved and why...

Thanks for all your responses thus far!
