LOL Annina, so you had a hypocrite for a parent as well? So did I, my mum was Queen Victoria reincarnate, no sex unless there was a ring. Then when I started doing my family history I discovered that both her grandmothers were illegitimate and also that her great grandfather was the result of a bigamous marriage! |

Through my childhood, my GT.Grandfather, my mother's Grandfather, has been 'a big fat dark Irishman, an Jew and a Gypsy, according to her. So, when I first started to put things together, it was not easy. Well, to the best of my knowledge, and various records, he was none of these. Nor was he 'big and fat', not according to a photo rescently acquired. Rather a short wizened man according to the photo. But, then none of us are very big, and one of his brothers was a jockey for the Kaiser, as was his cousins. No, they are Northants through and through, though some moved just over the border to Cambridge, but only just. |

I'm still trying to get my head around things following my stroke in April but hope to find out more soon. It would be great to find a medeteraen link or something more exotic |
