I wasn't expecting the Spanish inquisition..................lol

Seriously......I am a bit amazed that I can remember the sketches so well.

I think that being exposed to Monty Python at a young age has certainly coloured my impression of the world.............lol

As I drive over the Cob and see Conwy Castle I know I am home.... even when I didn't live here.

The Liver Buildings and the Pier Head..... my city of birth.

Dartmouth, Polperro, Skye and the Road to the Isles.... many happy holidays.

Dear All

Hello

The places that 'call to me' are:

Hyde Park and the museums in London.

I also like sitting near the River on a sunny day and just watching the ducks and the world go by.

Best wishes to all
xx

St. Michael's church in Aughton, Lancs - probably because I now know that so many of my direct paternal ancestors (and a lot of others on Dad's side) are buried there. Some have stones, some don't - but whenever I go there, I always go to find my great-grandparents' grave and my great-great grandma's next to it, just to see that the stones are OK.

I could walk round there for hours!

For me, a pub on the outskirts of Derby. Not that I have ever been in it, though I am told it is jolly nice. No, it signals for me the end of the city limits, with its ring roads, under passes, traffic, etc. You can tell I am not a car driver. I absolutely hate Derby city centre. and the approach from the other side of town from the Royal Hospital. Doesn't bother OH, he is a seasoned driver. When I pass that pub, I know a few yards further on, I am not only in some of our beautiful Derbyshire countryside, but I am on my way home from yet another session on the jolly old Morphine. I know it is naughty, but I light a ciggie at that stage.
I always say to the OH when he picks me up from the hospital, "Get me to the P******, safely." "Yeh" he answers, as if he wouldn't. Great faith in my OH. Been driving over 40 yrs, and touch wood, no mishaps, but it is just one of me little expressions on being let out of hospital, yet again.
