Hmmm not much of an apology - said it was a private joke between her and Daryl .... I notice he (Daryl) didnt stand up and agree, and Cheryl tried to cover her arse with Kandy Rain, but how can you take her seriously when she looked like the fairy from the top of a Christmas tree?

So the Twits got through eh? So who will Mentor the Groups then - surely someone needs to stand in today with Louis gone?

Oh and has Robbie found God? Is this a new Cliff in the making?

AnninGlos Report 11 Oct 2009 21:28

So, no stand in but Danni cast Louis vote for the group for him, and she apologised. I thought Simon's comment was very good too.

Uggers, the judge for tonight despite my opinions on Danni who I think should go (but wont) is because Louis cant judge the show due to the death of a member of one of his bands.

So rightly or wrongly there may well be a stand in Judge/Mentor tonight and for the next few days.

I really can't see what all the fuss is about over a dumb arsed comment that Danni Minogue said. Get a grip people!

Such a tough time for all of those involved :(

So I wonder who will be the stand in? Someone needs to Mentor those groups ...will it be Robbie?

Gypsy Report 11 Oct 2009 17:31

Its now been confirmed that Louis Walsh will notbe judging on the X Factor tonight.
Hardly surprising really. :-(

PMPL!! Of Course HAYLEY!!!

Errmm I liked Nicole a lot but had to admit, if they are looking for something new she didnt fill the bill (although I wish her massive success and will be first in line to buy her albums if she makes any) so on that note Hayley, no wonder how fab you natuarly you are (fingers crossed behind back) ...... a Shirley Bassey voice aint gonna cut it :)

Theres a difference between shattering glass on a high note and people breaking glasses in their hands whilst listening to you sing dear (wicked evil grin).

Wow a lot of comments I didnt expect so many!

Whilst I respect everyones opinions and I certainly have no problem with people disagreeing with me on a thread, its intersting to hear and consider other points of views. I do think watching again (the joys of catch up TV and the sad housewife whilst hubby is away doing a show) that her comment was premeditated.

You can see it already planned out and shes bursting to let rip, thats not a slip of the tongue and even though I wont be voting for Daryl - it hasnt swayed me in that regard at all, I felt it was tastless and offensive for that show (I know thats saying something) and I think even though it was on late it has a very young audience too and and some parents had a lot of explaining to do that was unnecessary. At the end of the day it should have been about his ability to perform and sing and nothing else.

Who would I consider to judge, now thats a toughie I hadnt considered, I also like Will, but think Tom Jones would be good or what about Annie Lennox?

Right off to catch up with the h***w*** and going to watch that Grease thing from yesterday while I iron.

Added

PS I dont know who should Win my Fav was Nicole but she was knocked out in the last round, I think Jamie did fantastic Kings of Leon - but he hasnt performed so well since.

I like Stacie cos shes mad and the boy with the scary eyebrows, Miss Frank could go far, but I am not sure that Simons Book Ends comments wont undermine the two weaker singers and they are trying very hard to perform as a group. That was a low blow.

Only watched part of it once, my conclusion was that if you treated an animal like they are treated you have the PDSA after you toot sweet.**M**.

None of the judges are that interested in the acts none of them will go on to better things 2 winners have done so, thats it out of how many the whole thing is a circus and like Teresa said the world of show business is a wicked and tough one, I think this show is well pasted its SBD, I would like to something differant a group that can play make their own music or a singer song writer their own style..

It's not what she said it's the smug way she said it to belittle him IMO. The guy is on stage in front of millions of people, I'd have been upset and humiliated too. Not because of the sexuality part but simply because it was designed to HURT!!!!

AS for a replacement, pass - find someone who genuinely wants to help an aspiring singer and not a judge who just wishes to maintain a public profile!

While I think Danni was out of order with her comment I don't think she should be sacked. However, I do think she should make an apology on the show tonight, which she may well do.

I think to be honest there will be a public apology made tonight, in light of all the complaints made to ITV following her comment. First of all from Simon, although he put Danni down right away, because it's his show, and from Danni.
Other than that, I really don't think any further action is needed. After all, they've done him a big favour, and increased his votes to stay, not that he couldn't have done it by himself through his singing, I thought he was really good anyway.
As for Simon Cowell insulting people. Yes it comes across as insulting, but if you listen to what he's actually saying, he's rarely wrong. He knows his business, and it's a harsh business. It's no good wrapping people up in cotton wool if they are ever going to make something of themselves.

Maddie what Danni said was nothing to compared to what JRoss and that dipstick side kick did, she didnt even insult him, she passed a comment it had been all over the papers yesterday, a silly comment it was and all, Now Simon Cowell has made a career out of insulting people and its made him a millionaire.
