My sons name was decided when we found out we were have a boy.

Now my daughters name i had liked since i was about 7 or 8 but waited 30 years before i could give it to her so there was no way i was going to change my mined.

I even had a row with some woman over it as her daughter had the same name & she said when she had thought os it no-one had heard of it before.......So i said to her that i had liked the name for 30 years so it wasn't new and she didn't just make it up lol

My 3rd son was always going to be Matthew until he was born.....I had told my 2 other sons that if i they had a baby brother he would be called Matthew, as soon as he was born the boys came up to see him and i said what are we going to call him, thinking they would both blurt out Matthew but the yougest who was 2 said Martin so that had to be his name.
He is now 40

All throughout my first pregnancy I had a name for a girl but only 3 days before I gave birth (to a boy) did we come up with a boys name so, no, it didn't get changed lol

My second was a girl and we kept the name we would have used if her brother had been a girl.

Nowadays, I do like the names Cassidy and McKenzie for a girl and Jamie for a boy but as I'm not likely to have any more it's irrelevant really.

We chose all the names at the start of pregnancy and just allocated them once they were delivered so we knew not to call son Melissa...lol

Son always moans that his two Christian names total 20 letters and form filling is a nightmare. He's lucky I hadn't started family history research or we may have stuck him with a third name of Lightfoot....lmao
