Not really sure.

One distant twig had a wife whose name I could not decipher on the census and a young daughter.

On the next census the young daughter was living with his parents, the wife I could not find but did not have a lot to go on and he was in Wormwood Scrubs.

I've got a family story that one of the Roath relations was involved in a murder "somewhere up north" (they lived in Birmingham) but I've never been able to find anything more about it. Unusual name though so if ever I start looking it should stand out.
hmm

I was at a Family History centre once when someone found a REAL pirate on her tree in Cornwall. She was horrified and vowed she wouldn't look anything else up - ever! And there was I sitting looking at all my Ag Labs and wishing for more exciting things! (be careful what you wish for?)
cheers,
