For those of you who hate Christmas why not apply for a visa to Saudi Arabia?
Yes, it's reckoned to be the hardest country to get into, but I can assure you - they don't 'do' Christmas.
No twinkly lights, no glittery shopping malls, no filled supermarket shelves with special goodies, no cards, no santa, no booze, no carols, no praying, no church, NOWT. It's an ordinary working day.
It, and anything connected with it, is illegal. I know, cos I wuz there!!

I agree Christmas is for December and as it is only going to be me and the dog this year I have to plan and do nothing, Bliss!!

Annina, I would agree with that ,and it is a club I would willingly join!

I did used to love Christmas, but it has become so bloomin financially based.
I love the giving and receiving of presents and get an enormous pleasure giving... but PULEEEESE... no one gives simple gifts anymore.
The children WANT EVERYTHING as children will, but what they want today is so expensive.
I know that my son and dil have friends whose son has chatted about the fact that they spent less on him this birthday than they spent on his last birthday...... and will they be making it up for his Christmas, and they usually spend HUNDREDS ON HIM.
What is going to happen as time goes by?

NO NO..... Christmas should be ABOLISHED!!! HA HA HA please???

Dear All

Hello

Well, I have now found the cards, wrapping paper, etc that I carefully put away last year but could not find.

That's a start!
Well sort of!

Take care of yourselves.

Very best wishes
xx

I have been giving Christmas many thoughts but havn't actually done anything yet ,except look. We have booked the Christmas dinner out, because they get booked up early, and have got my outfit sorted.
Rambling Rose, I love the photo frames etc., in the Past Times shop, unfortuately it is about 12 miles away from us, in Notttingham so don't get the opportunity to visit often
Oh yes, and I absolutely adore Christmas. I would rather have it than a birthday. Looking forward to it very much

Thank you Joy, xxxx... I have to say last Christmas was a bit different... I still enjoyed it, but it was strange not having visitors, or people for lunch..... and of course, I didn't really feel up to visitors, lol.... so the peace and quiet was very welcome ;¬))

This year will be raucous, lolol ;¬))

Love

I love Christmas, always have. Bought most of the small presents through the year, older boys always have cash so that is easy. Just sister's and OH's to get now really. Cards all made and ready for writing. Decs will go up beginning of December but I think we may now be at son's for the actual Christmas.
