at the amount of people I come across who say 'I'm not racist but the BNP have got a point about immigration'. Not hard to see how Hitler rose to power is it.

Hardly the point is it, Birdsinanest? As soon as people start seeing a racist party as reasonable because they say what some of the voters want to hear, we're on a dangerous path.

You know I had the same conversation myself I know very little about politics,yesterday, as I said, but I do credit myself with a little more intelligence to believe every thing I read in the press. I am confused as to why a party who wants Britain to be a white only Britain, yet have a seat in Europe? Does this party have any views on anything else but immigration, what are their views on the present economy? Or again does this go full circle back to immigration?

So all immigrants are a drain on the countries resources are they birdnest?

i suppose they could make a start by sending people back to scotland,ireland and wales because its not so far and would save money.
but then they would have to bring the english back here.

lol Hayley. I think I'm ok here cos all my foreign ancestry is white, although I will lose a few relations if and when they get in. Oh, as long as I only do what I do behind closed doors of course.

Why are you amazed? Whilst this country cannot afford to provide the services we have all believed are our right, i.e. health care, social housing, benefits, pensions at a decent level, schooling etc., people will look for someone to blame!!!! If you look at the demographic reports for England's poorest towns I can certainly see why some people are supporting the BNP.

Not that I am saying it is right or wrong just making an observation.

Why is the finger always pointed at immigration as the blame, what about the drain on our services, what about the lazy sods who have never done a days work in their lives.

Sue, I'm amazed because I didn't realise quite how stupid people are. I live in the same country and I'm not looking at blaming immigrants, which is the time honoured method of the mob when times are hard. There is SO much money in this country but the greater of the wealth is mismanaged and misdirected. I can *never* *ever* understand why anyone would support a racist party.
