We were geet rich BC.........cos sometimes we had a thrupenny bit for ours....always kept my hand on mine ...came in useful if I needed the bus fare home ..;O)

Suspenders Mau? Suspenders? We were so poor,we just had a piece of elastic with a button sewn on......

Know what you mean ;O) me and my sister,when we were teenagers, used tp put our bras. in bed when we dashed to the bathroom,so they were nice and warm to wear lol...same with suspenders....wink wink lol

OMG Mau, the house we grew up in was freezing and damp, good job we were all girls...used to get out of the bath and charge in to the front room to get dried and dress in front of the fire.....bit of a shock for vistors when we had them, but....and mum used to put a candle in our room to take the chill of it..lol

hahaha Hayley the olduns are the best..........during the winter we had a jamjar with a candle in,and when it got really cold Dad............ used to light it ............

Reminds me of that old Joke my sister used to tell... about the kids who were sent to bed early coz their parents had visitors....

Child shouting down the stairs... MAM MAM MAAAAAMMMMMM THE COATS HAVE FELL OFF THE BED...

Mother shouting back ....darling get to sleep now thats not a cloat its an idadown...

Child replying...... MAMMMMMMMM OUR HAYLEYS GOT A HER FOOT CAUGHT IN THE SLEEVE OF THE IDADOWN..

to put on my X*** list a pair of those slippers wot take both feet, but couldn't face all the hopping about ;O xx

She is a big fibber, Lesley....*frets...wish I could take that lovely parcel of expensive creams back out of the post box...maybe if I hover the nice postman will give it back to me? I sent them to Hayley because her need is greater than mine:-) lol

Lol......BC ....I'm a walking barometer too.........lol........I used to laugh to myself when I heard people saying the weather was on the change , they could feel it in their bones..........serves me right I suppose..........lol
