A short while ago I gave Mum and Dad a load of bottles of booze to give to the charity raffle that I never drink (white wine, sparkling reds etc) which were bought for guests but never drunk and were cluttering up my cupboard....

Anywaaaaaaaaaay Dad turned up today with TWO bottles of Chateau Neuf de pape (my most favourite wine in all the world)....as a thank you....Aldi were selling them at a knock down £6.99 each !!! (I'd never pay even that much that for myself)

I'm dead chuffed. I'll be able to sleep well tonight I reckon !!! lol xx

I think they're feeling sorry for me tbh ....I'm actually FINE about it all ....for now.......but they worry....I'm pretty surprised actually because Dad is a rabid teetotal and HATES me drinking ....but wine is ALWAYS guaranteed to cheer me up lol xx

Muffs Babes. Some 45 years ago when I was in the catering trade, Chareau Neuf de Pap, was the drink to have if you had money to burn. So expensive in those days. And also Pol Roger, a champagne type. I almost felt privilaged to serve it. Don't think the toffs I was serving it to actually appreciated it.

NO it's not like vinegar at all Rose .......

My Mum isn't a red fan and I gave her a taste earlier because she doesn't see what all the fuss with red wine is about....and she actually liked it !!! xx
