Ahh thats lovely. Our Snowy had 4 babies on Saturday - Taking us to 6 baby Guinea Pigs in a week.
I wouldn't take the boy out just yet though. He does need a few weeks with mum nursing him.

If the dad is still in with her - Then she is probably pregnant again already. The sow comes into season six hours after giving birth!

We won't be keeping all of them. i have homes for 2, 1 will go to a friend and 1 will be the class pet in my class at school. The others im not sure - I have my eye on 2 of them :-)

Gypsy Report 24 Nov 2009 13:14

Oh and you can pick them up - Mum won't mind. They are not like rabbits which you shouldn't touch.

pleaseeeeeeeeeee tell me your joking!!!!!

my friend got me thse to from an auction, i really didnt "want" babies well i did once she sd, she thought he had "caught" her lol but ya no what i mean,

i thought i had a few weeks to take him out arghhhhhhhhhhhh

i think he is gona have to be removed sooner rather than later, i just hope he gets on ok with my rabbit, or im stuck for cages

Im not joking :-( I'd get him out asap and hope for the best. It's really not a good idea for her to get pregnant so soon - It's too traumatic for them.

I left my Snowy 3 months before I bred her again and that was too soon. I feel bad now as she is so skinny and boney. She is a great mum but she didn't have time to get back to being herself before she was pregnant again. It'stoo hard on them. She also had 4 babies this time so they are taking a lot out of her and that will only get worse as they get bigger and more demanding.

aw noooooooooooo, i have just rang the vets and its £53 for the boy, and £67 for the girl "jaw hit the ground"

I'd ring another vet just to check the prices! It's £35 each here in Kent.

We didn't purposefully breed from her the 1st time - She was pregnant when we got her. We did let her breed this time though - But I wish I had given her longer to recover properly. Obviously I thought she had but this pregnanc y has taken a lot out of her.

I hope your mum isn't pregnant yet. Fingers crossed!
