Hello Keith :)

Had a lovely day shopping and a spot to eat in Liverpool today. I feel all Christmassy and it's not even December :) (The quality Street I am eating also helps lol) Wandered around the shops, they had some lovely gifts and Christmas regalia this year.

In Williamson Square (where they usually have the water fountains that the children run underneath in the summer), they had an old fashioned Merry Go Round that the children were riding on and they had an ice rink. There were also some fun fair stalls and food stalls like you get at the European Christmas Markets. In fact they were putting the finishing touches to some Christmas Market stalls so I assume they're going to have the Continental Market stalls again this year.

The Christmas Decorations were lovely, and I chanced upon a couple penguins in Church Street decorated like the lamb bananas were when the Capital of Culture was on. I think there are over two hundred of them on parade for a Winter's Trail :)

In Liverpool One, the trees were lit up and they had giant paper chains above the shops, obviously not made out of paper lol. They also had a giant wheel lit up like a snowflake (like the Millenium wheel) which I will have to take the little' un on if I can get him past the Merry go round and Ice rink.

There was also an Ice Palace outside John Lewis which doubles as a grotto. I was so impressed with it but when it was lit it was even more magical. It is amazing what they can do these days.

Adjacent to the Ice Palace, I noticed that they also had a Father Christmas 3d experience which little children (& perhaps big ones) will enjoy,

I'll definitely have to revisit Liverpool when the Christmas Market is on. Apparently it's on from Dec 4-21st so try and get in and see it Keith :)

PS I'll be taking my proper camera with me next time.
