Sorry to hear your feeling glum Muffy.............I've had a lovely day . Nothing much in particular but I've just been enjoying having " my space " . I took over my sons bedroom when he left home in August . I've had my eye on that room for 22 years and now it's all mine............lol.......my craft / art room . I 've been in there most of the day , sewing up a blanket I've made for babykins Christmas present . Boxing up and wrapping my other Granddaughters beautiful forged dolly bed ( Grandad really is a jolly clever bloke ) .
I feel very contented ( which doesn't happen very often but it's good whilst it lasts ) .

well not sure it's good as such Muffy, but just got back from doing a kids xmas party. 16 of them all good as gold, no tears or accidents...all went away happy, esp after Santa turned up...their faces were a picture..

Amanda....glad you've had a good day in your craft room......my garage was supposed to be my research room but it got taken over by excess carp lol......I settled for the kitchen in the end lol.

Whirls..........nice one hon......glad it all went off well for you !! xx

Amanda2003 Report 5 Dec 2009 19:38

Muffy .....I think the " my space " only really comes with age ( and indeed the wrinkles ....lol ) . Not that it being " my space " keeps " them " all away .......as soon as any of them ( the kids / grand kids ) come into the house the shout goes up of " wheres Mum / Nanny ? ".......it seems I am the Sun around which they all orbit ......lol.......I don't mind shareing with any of them if they want to get stuck into glue and paint etc : ))

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 5 Dec 2009 19:40

I think that goes with the territory too Amanda.......we'd most likely miss it if they stopped LOL xx

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 5 Dec 2009 19:47

Indeed Muffy ........I'd be lost if my lot stopped bellowing " Mum ".......lol

I even look round in shops if I hear any random kid shouting it !! .......lol

Sorry to hear that Muffy, I had a miserable as sin night last night - hope it wasn't me who passed it your way!

Not sure if it was today's events which helped me get over it -

had a wonderful day today, took 10 week old grandaughter to visit 86 year old aunty who is housebound, who held her and cooed over her (must admit heart was in mouth in case she dropped her), everyone was happy and smiling, even though deep down aunty must have felt sad thinking about losing her own son on his 7th birthday

free gift at T***o - a stainless steel gadget that makes cucumber and other veg and fruit into fancy curly whirley thingies that nobody eats when you've put all the effort into the aesthetics of a buffet. I only had to stand for two minutes of a bloke giving a demo of some £25 kitchen knives before I got my freebie!

Biggest coup of the day was sorting out daughter's internet connection, I got a mwahh off her and a promise that she will tell all her mates that I am a whizz at computers and social networking. (BTW I have got google wave invites left to hand out if anyone wants one)

All that may not be really good news but I certainly felt better today than last night, and I sincerely hope that you feel better soon Muffy. I know that lots of people on here will be happy to help xxx

Heyyy Muffers, chin up hun.

I'm getting nice new teef, did I mention that? hehehe

AND...

I bought a new hoover this week cos my old thing died on me...ok it' sleft me well short for Christmas, which means the grandkids won't get as much as I wanted them to have, but boy is my flat clean. I didn't realise how utterly useless my old thing had become PMSL

Ooo and my noisy neighbours upstairs have moved out....yayyyyy Night after night of GranTurismo or whatever racing game, on full volume is no joke! Nor is setting fire to the kitchen on a Sunday morning.!

Could you let me know when I am going airborne!

My drawers are brilliant but having to hang onto the bloody wings of one of your renovated planes is not good for my piles!

Darling...... a bit more imagination would be nice! Warmer climate perhaps!

Love you lots like Jelly Tots.
