I've got the original cd from ?1992

No point in bemoaning that they had to be "cut" recently. What do you/ the media expect from a band whose anthem was "xxxx you, I won't do what you tell me"

I've got a bit of sympathy, I have to say.

Anything has to be better than anodyne Big- Brother-Dancing-on-Ice-I'm-a-Celebrity-X-Factor-put-your-cash-into-the-pockets-of-the-tv-stations-mush

I'd much rather put my money where it's needed - and now I've got two copies.

Sue x

Oh, and I do wish I was 7 or 8

To quote 'Rage Against the Machine': (expletive, deleted) you, I won't do what you tell me'. So I won't; I won't buy anybody's single at all this Christmas - not that I do anyway:)

Well I shall not support this horrible group... foul-mouthed on a radio show and had to be cut.... nope, I wouldn't want that dreadful crew singing to my little granddaughters over the Christmas period with their dreadful headbanging racket... Joe is much nicer!!

And x factor has raised far more than the FB thing... and will continue to do so.

I don't think it is fun.... well, I might have done when I was about 7 or 8.

Love

Oh, and the comment about not wanting Simon Cowell to win, and that is the whole reason for the campaign? Well.... egg on yer faces, who has two horses in't races? wmsl... Simon Cowell, that's who!! The FB crew really did their homework, didn't they? Not, lolol

I've no problem either way with who wins the No 1 spot but just another point of view. According to some papers RATM is linked to Simon Cowells' record company anyway so he wins both ways!

I'm not into 'head banging' stuff lol
Would have liked a nice old xmas one, since nobody has come up with a new one.

Uggers Report 18 Dec 2009 12:28

I didn't think anyone really cared who was "number 1" these days - well, I don't:) I think Joe wotsit's song is crap but so is RATM's.

PompeyForever

PompeyForever Report 10 Dec 2009 21:22

Its about Simon Cowells machine winning each year, its fun thats all, dont care who the singer is. No other artist stands a chance with x factor so we decided to try & change that & raise money for charity

Fiona aka Ruby

Fiona aka Ruby Report 10 Dec 2009 21:20

Mr Blobby and Bob the Builder weren't particularly festive either.

Fiona aka Ruby

Fiona aka Ruby Report 10 Dec 2009 21:18

Raising money for Shelter is all good, but 'Hallelujah' was one of the best Christmas no.1's for years imo.

PompeyForever

PompeyForever Report 10 Dec 2009 21:18

No not at all, if you dont want it dont buy it, just making a point thats all. Fed up with the x factor winner always at number 1 with un xmassy song.

PompeyForever

PompeyForever Report 10 Dec 2009 21:16

Its not about the singers ! its about simon cowell dominateing number 1 every year. If we gonna have a xmas number 1, let it be a festive song, Miley Cirus? Also raising money for Shelter so its not all bad

Aren't you doing the same sort of thing as The X Factor though by trying to force a number 1 on people? Just a thought.
