I would never use that site for that when I need it myself

I have just read those and they are disgusting, but they are the work of somebody either very drunk or deranged and best ignored. For what it is worth, although she has caused a fair amount of trouble on here, the phraseology and language does not seem to me like Mel.

I'm more concerned about the person who was so upset about being targetted on there last night than I am worried about the sicko that posted the filth in the first place tbh.

They're hardly likely to come out and admit it's them are they? So there's no point in speculating.

On a personal level I couldn't give a stuff what they say about me.......but I don't like the hurt it caused others.xx

It isn't the first time that lovely site has been used to target individuals from GR. It happened in 2007 as well. The language seems similar this time, although a different target.

I didn't see anything that happened in the night and have only now logged on to GR. I'm so sorry that Sylvia was upset and sorry for all those for whom the site is a haven, as it was for me before the last episode.

I've posted seperately Dizzi. The person who did it is either cruel and should expect to receive no quarter; or mentally ill and in need of treatment. Either way to attack there when they could do it here or even through a blog....beggars belief.

The candle site is ( to most I would think) the equivalent of a church, may their God forgive them, they won't get it here.

They dont deserve the publicity they are getting and are not worth typing about.!

Up to a point you are right Kay, they don't deserve the attention. But in this case maybe the friends of 'Whoever it was' who would normally leap to their defence will take a good hard look , what is 'entertaining and funny' when on here or a blog, might just be seen for what it is , when seen on a site like that. Sick. No excuses, no "she had a drink" etc ...pure nastiness.

You are right, it is not at all funny, it is sick, that site is a refuge to many people and to use it as a weapon against anybody is pure evil. I hope those of you 'attacked' on there can realise that it is the work of a deranged person and rise above it and not let it spoil your pleasure in this site.

OMG, Am I reading this right? Someone has yet again defiled the lovely candles site, targetting Sylvia. I missed it all last night, but gleaned this much from what I've just read.

That is sick and disgusting, and worse still, the person who keeps doing this (assuming it is just one person), is probably pleased with themselves.

I can't use that site any more, haven't been able to since the first time nasty posts were put on there targetting Lynda. It's a shame, but there are other ways of remembering my loved ones.

I'm sorry Sylvia has been put through this, and anyone else who has been dragged into it. It's not big, it's not clever, and, whoever it is, it will come back and bite them hard on the backside.

Pure and evil spite and nastiness, I've just read some of the comments and they are disgusting - I do hope the writer is proud of themselves in hurting others

I use the site regularly... every couple of days, I renew the candles, add someone who needs one, even if it is only for a single time... I also use the candles as a *blessing* for times that people have had great news or events...... I will not let this person's sick and evil mind stop me from using it... it doesn't matter to me what their intentions are... mine are good, as are most people's, and that is all that counts. Today, I lit mine elsewhere.... but I will go back to the site tomorrow.

I actually feel physically sick at the thought that someone actually thinks it is ok to do this sort of thing.

No matter what arguments are on here, there is no valid reason at all for going on a site like that and spoiling it, especially on such a personal level.

I also hear that Sylvia is thinking of leaving this site. Well I say she shouldn't though if that's what she feels is right for her then so be it, and I don't really blame her, and fully understand her reasons. To be abused like that is as bad as though she had been physically violated.

Having just looked and seen one addressed to Sylvia - how does one report it?

Carol B mentioned the abuse support team, earlier today, if not there is a 'contact us' button.

I certainly don't think Sylvia should feel she should leave just because of the actions of one despicable low minded mentally deranged disrespectful person.
