My youngest grandson , (five in January), wants Peppa Pig stuff too.

I have got him a pair of Pink Peppa Pig roller skates, is this a step too far?

Off to eat my Chicken Vinderloo, back later.

My 3 yo grandson loves wearing his twin sister's fairy outfits. He looks so cute but the effect is spoiled when he puts a cowboy hat on his head. The boys also like playing with their sister's dolls and she loves playing with their Thomas trains. My lot were the same when they were little.

Its an umbrella not a statement of his sexuality!

I worked in a nursery and it was very noticable that the little boys were fascinated with the dolls. There was one little cherub who spent the whole day carrying his "baby" around with him. It was just so sweet.

"he has loods of "girlie" stuff, like a buggy n kitchn n hoover etc i dont mind him having toys tht r aimed at girls, coz like you say uggers he will grow out of them when he gets older"

Either that or he'll make someone an excellent house husband one day lol

*Agrees with Uggers*

Joy, you should have got the pink one pmsl

Muffs yours not the only one that dont like pink either or things with glitter/spangl on our little un wont wear it, and mum would not have anything pink for her when she was a baby,no frills and satin, mind I dislike anything all pinky and fluffy and mushy for a baby girl..

Apparently BHS and Mothercare sell Peppa Pig pyjamas & slippers for boys, so the blue umbrella is probably meant for a boy as well.

I can never work out why Peppa Pig is meant to be a 'girlie' character. The 'Night Garden' duvet cover is on the 'girls' page in Argos I noticed. Grandson is 3 and he has an 'Upsy Daisy' doll.

I've got the opposite problem with my eldest. She absolutely hates pink !!!! It's an absolute nightmare because manufacturers in their *wisdom* make so much pink stuff they tend to ignore that fact that there ARE girls who don't like it !

I hunt around all over the place for clothes that are baby blue......but usually have to give up an buy boys stuff for her. Even the slightest speck of pink on an outfit is enough to have her throwing a major hissy.

Youngest is much easier........she is a really girly girl........although she DOES love star wars, The power rangers and Doctor who too LOL xx

Kay????

Kay???? Report 13 Dec 2009 17:07

Oh yes let him have it,,,,,,,,and if he wants other pink girly stuff then why not its a child thing and most probally grow out of it once he discovers train sets and stuff,,,,,,if not then no harm done he will set his own likes and dislikes.

Nanna I think he will look dead cute, hes just a baby:}}}}}

My females had trainsets/scalelctric stuff, and tools sets.....
