AnnCardiff Report 14 Dec 2009 22:04

after lying on a bed with my ankles in stirrups with my bits on show to the world, TV would have been a welcome distraction - probably only suitable for the Horror Channel

To be fair, it WAS a bit of a crash course, I think she did well, BUT I'm sure they wouldnt have left her alone to do a delivery.......

I thought she did pretty well considering the small amount of training she got and made a pretty good effort. A shame the baby didn't play ball and come when due so she could have been there from the start of the labour but if the mother was happy and the baby safe, that's all that mattered. It must have been very scary for her to see the baby not breathing at first.
Even my o.h. was interested in her dilgence in trying to learn the right terms and she was very supportive and fairly professional about it all.
Good for her! At least she has something to fall back on now lol should her career fail!
Hard to imagine her with Les Dennis now.

My first reaction was "Not a cat in hells chance" but when having my last baby,I was asked if I objected to a student male midwife,I was to be his first delivery.

I said that I didn't give a monkeys as long as he was supervised.

That resulted in my 11Ib son,whew !!
