Dear All

Hello

This is a new post for all topics relating to families.

Now the word meaning has changed over the years but the same problems still exist.

They come in all shapes and sizes.

Here are some subjects that could be on the post, divorce, contact for grandparents and single parents, bereavement, etc

This could be a good place where people do not feel isolated and alone.

Basically, if someone wants to share a problem, others could help find solutions or support groups.

As ever, no discrimination or egos on me posts!

Would other GR members like to join?

Take care all

Best wishes
xx

Good idea Elizabeth,
there seems to be a lot of pain and anxiety around us, wherever we live. Some may be initially shy to share but this is a very caring and supportive group, with a lot of pooled knowledge, experience, resources and ideas. Hope this thread takes off, there IS a need.
Bless you for thinking of it,
Mary

Elizabeth, this is a wonderful idea, sometimes it is easier to thrash out your worries, shall we say anonimously, rather than with strangers.

There must be a wealth of wisdom being wasted between us,I have age on my side. Brought up a large family, buried two, divorced and remarried...........

And that is just me.......Nina from Sheffield.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL.

Carol, you must have posted along with me.

I too have lost two children,Rebecca was only 2wks and would have been 40 last september.
Today.is my younger daughter Shani's birthday, and tragically, her brother commited suicide on her birthday 17 yrs ago.

Do not listen to unfeeling folk who expect you to get over losing a child, ever.
The truth is,you never do,but, you will get used to living with the pain, give yourself permission to grieve for as long as needed.I also suffer periods of unbearable depression,so bought that t shirt, please feel free to pm me anytime you need an understanding ear. Love and hugs,Nina from Sheffield xxxxxxxxxx

What a great idea Elizabeth I agree with what everybody has said, I hope that your threat takes off. After I lost my husband I was never the same it was like losing my right arm, you go through the greaving and come out the other side, but life is never the same again.
