how to eat a tomato.
take one fair sized tomato in left hand and salt cellar in right hand, take a bite , from tomato and sprinkle wounded tomato with salt, now take second bite from tomato and now chew and swallow, repeat items one and two until tomato is consumed............delicious!!!!.

I didn't realise so many people didn't like tomatoes! Love them fresh from the garden or greenhouse.

I like tinned tomatoes - but not raw, that is just wrong and I would not eat one............ done a sprout and thats my limit

I like tomatoes, but only the sweet ones, like cherry tomatoes or vine ripened ones. Those hard forced ones you get loose in the supermarkets are sour and tasteless.

Nothing like fresh home-grown ones though.

Like tinned tomatoes too...especially for cooking. To me, it's better results.

I don't eat the skins ... it is that I think that makes people dislike them because the skin tends to stick in the throat ? get rid of the skins and the pips and there is nothing nicer...with salt of course... :)

I eat tons, in one way or another, raw, cooked, in soups, sauces, salads etc. - lovely, couldn't manage without them!

I love tomatoes.... raw,baked,chopped, in sauces etc.. Even like to eat them like apples as a snack.

Dip them in sugar - it's supposed to be a tonic (this must be true because my Dad told me!. lol).

My elder daughter loves tomatoes, but younger one hate them - and anything with tomato in , like baked beans.
However - she has tried and almost liked one - a tiny 'cherry' yellow one that I grew!.

Muffy, whatever you do, don't bother with the big beefsteak tomatoes - they're tasteless, unless fried!
