Now I'd say the pork was best, but you can't have good pork without cooking it with the fat and the crackling, and the bone if possible, for the best flavour.

Better still is the bacon :-))))

My best fish and chips in all my life were made by an Italian called Gabbie. He had a fish bar in Rothesay, Isle of Bute, Scotland, and he served sass on the counter along with the vinegar and salt
Now that is more northern than your self LOLOL

This is supposed to be a serious debate on the relative merits of the meat on a jopint of pork as opposed to the crackling.

It is not a geography lesson. Please keep on topic or I will report you all.

The only deviation allowed will be other food related subjects.

OK?

Good. Thank you. Now behave.......

TonyW Report 1 Jan 2010 18:46

You can't get decent fish and chips in the South.....

I think I've found the best (and cheapest) fish and chip shop in the world.

The Empire in Stanley, just outside Wakefield. Haddock and chips £3.67 Luvverly!
