I'm not "playing patience" Teresa! Well I am, but it's partly to clear my brain of all the toot so I can write down the writing that I need to write, and partly to put off putting away the books.

Oh no, I've caught the repetitive bug now ... that'll do my writing no good will it?

Might go and make a pot of proper tea before I start on the books, before I sit down to write, before I do all that reading.

Oh Lord, I feel knackered just thinking about it all ...

I'm back. Lovely tea. And a bit of Christmas cake - although the icing is rock hard so I'm picking off the cake with my fingers and making the keyboard all sticky ...

Did you know...

The patron saint of writers is St Francis de Sales?

"At that time, the way of holiness was only for monks and nuns -- not for ordinary people. Francis changed all that by giving spiritual direction to lay people living ordinary lives in the world. But he had proven with his own life that people could grow in holiness while involved in a very active occupation. Why couldn't others do the same? His most famous book, INTRODUCTION TO THE DEVOUT LIFE, was written for these ordinary people in 1608. Written originally as letters, it became an instant success all over Europe -- though some preachers tore it up because he tolerated dancing and jokes! " my kind of saint :))

Yes Rose, but I bet he wouldn't tolerate playing patience on the PC instead of reading or writing would he?

Definitely not Teresa... unless Mrs G is working on a story in which the main character is playing patience and she is getting a 'feel' for it?
