How embarrassing!

I have had a stiff knee for a few days so have stuck a heat pad on it. We went out last night and,as I left the car, felt the heat pad coming unstuck. As we walked to the door it loosened more and more until it fell off and slithered out of my trouser leg as we walked in the club.

Well, fine, but I do wonder why a heat pad has to look quite so much like a panty liner.

Oh Sharron lol.Did you pick it up and pop it in your pocket?I use those too,but have never found they stick well on the knee.
That reminds me of the time my sister used an ST to soak up excess breast milk.It must have been before breast pads came along.Anyway her door bell rang and as she opened the door the thing fell down straight at visitors feet !!!!!

Yes,I did pick it up. I didn't want it sticking to somebody's shoe.

Have just been reminded of one of my elderly neighbours who hadhad a younger sister who insisted on wearing her clothes.
She was out with her future husband one night and saw her sister wearing her hat. The future husband, being a gentleman, went and grabbed the hat off the smaller sister and a sanitary towel fell out of it.

Who can tell what is under somebody's clothing!

Odd place to keep one of those lol.But as they say there's nowt so strange as folk!!

I think the hat was too big for her.

My embarrassment was not great,I can handle it. It was more inconvenient not having the heat on the knee for the evening.

A night of the twingeing screws!

Oh am sorry too for your embarrassment . I remember my mum telling a story of the 1950,s she worked at the local hospital and had to start at 7am She knew when her bus connection was at the local stop so balanced her leave accordingly. One time she was running a bit late and had to run for the bus unfortunately her knicker elastic and all it contained !! decided to fail and her sanitary towel decided to drop!! she didnt know what to do so decided to ignore what had dropped and just get the bus and continue on her journey. Many moons later this still haunted as an embarrassment

Shirley, that's the worst thing I have ever heard, I think I would have never used that route to the bus again or that service either!!

That's worse than what happened to my mum in the 1940's. She was going to visit her mum when her knicker elastic snapped and, of course, they fell to her ankles!

She picked them up and put them in her pocket, hoping no-one had noticed.

Sharron, sorry I forgot to say, hope your knee is a bit better now.

In the poundshop they have knee supports for, obviously, a £ I got o.h. one as he had to have the cartilage removed from one knee years ago,
and it gives him problems. The support helps keep the knee warm too.

Shame Men never have these predicaments. They don't know the half of what us poor ladies have to go through.
My daughters friend went for her smear and went to loo beforehand .used a tissue from her hand bag.Legs akimbo the Dr,has a look and comes up with a first class stamp. It must have been attached to her tissue.I think his words were something like ."I take it you won't want to be using this" lol

Jane I think you just beat Sharon in the larfter stakes! Who is not going to be thinking of 1st class stamps next time they have a smear test?

The ST/breast milk thing brings back memories of mastitis. Was I the only person who fell for the cabbage down the bra trick the midwife suggested as a cure? I went into the greengrocers thinking this was an everyday occurence and the question shouted across the shop was "Lady wants to know whether savoy or spring greens is better for mastitis." They figured mastitis was a quaint northern dish guess!

I found the cabbage leaf very good, but, I put mine in the fridge first, worked better cold.
