Good Morning Everyone,

Bet you can guess why I'm on here so early lol. The girls have gone off to school a lot happier this morn - what a relief. The good news is that my BIL has someone to walk to school with. A chap a few doors away only works 3 days a week - he shares his job with his wife. BIL said he will feel less conspicuous (sp), being with another chap. I think the walk and the chat will do him the world of good.

Mel and Jane, I would like to thank you for the pics. It's so nice to put a face to a name. Jane, for some reason when I saw your pic, I thought of the 'Calendar Girls' lol. Mel, how wonderful to be in a space which isn't 'built up'. We have a lovely garden where I live, but there's no getting away from those neighbours lol. Mind you, if they were like my BIL's. I wouldn't want too lol.

When BIL gets back from school - I'm off to the supermarket. I'm starting to feel like a rat in a cage lol I take my hat off to all new mums and particularly to those who don't have much help.

Bright and sunny at the moment. We have ahd the heron down standing on the side of the pond this morning glancing left and right at the fish.

Bet when I put the washing out it will come over cloudy!!

All the fairy hammocks are in the hedge this morning and spiders webs hanging in lovely little jewels. A proper September morning with a bit of a chill in the air.

Hi Catie I missed your post first thing this morning. I have been doing research for Shirl again this morning too. Should have logged on at 8.45am but got sidetracked.

So glad your BIL has a friend who goes to school too. they really sound like a good lot he lives around. Monday will be the worst day for all of you and my thought will be with you all the way.

It's late for me here ,but I have been updating some stuff which has taken ages.
I am pleased for your BIL Catie ,he will feel far more comfortable having a bit of company to walk to school,and he will feel relieved that the girls went off ok today.

Hannah is off to Croatia in the early hours and I have promised I would get her last bits ironed for her so I will get that done now,then go and pick up her currency.

That's brilliant Catie for your BIL to have a bit of male company to walk to school and share things from a male perspective. Baby Mark is making sure there are no lie ins for you just now!! Good to get out for a change of scene, even at the supermarket.

Isn't it amazing Mel how those Herons just KNOW where there are fish. I hope you have got some nets for the pond as he will be back!!

Jane, Croatia sounds very unspoilt and scenic from what I have read and would be an interesting place to go.

I see everyone has been busy. As I said to Mel this morning My "best friend "has been my company all night.. Finally got to sleep at 9am slept till 12.30pm. No food today. Starve the Bugge# out of me.

OH was reading the paper last night and I was describing how a particular nose shape seemed to have been passed on to all the children in an old schoolfriend's family. 'Noses seem to run in families don't they' I said without thinking. 'Certainly do in mine' he said!!

He is at his interview now.......nearly didn't know him in his suit......I like a man in a suit. lol Later we are going for a walk.......I'm going to make some Hedgerow Jam. Has anyone else ever made it? Need some blackberries, elderberries,rosehips, haws and sloes. I don't think OH is convinced you can eat all those, so a small batch and I will have to 'test' it I think.

Lots of carrots and beans ready now to go with fish in sauce tonight. The hanging baskets have been their best ever. They were those pointed cone shaped baskets, but you can't even see the baskets for flowers.

Wool*or*hs closed down in our town a while back and everyone missed it alot and today Wil*ins*ns opened in it's place, Someone said to me it is better than Pou*nd*and but not as good as woolies.
So I am going shopping and will have a look around to see what I think tomorrow , has anyone else got this shop and what do you think?

going to finish some odd jobs then have 1/2 hour in the sun before I have a shower then it's off up to daughter no 1 house to celebrate Sofia's first birthday, daughter says they have got her a butterly cake and one big number 1 candle
wiil take photo's and send them when I can.
Not sure if I will be back on again today, don't know what time we will be home.

Been to Holsworthy and did library for mum and bought some more plants and leek plants. Bought a lovely rusty coloured Heuchera andx a chinese fern that has rosy new foliage on the new fronds.

Fiona, A friend of Ros's Who is LOADED . always shops at Wilk# she says it's the best place to buy B'day cards and presents as they are so cheap. Is that how these people get their money.????
