Does anybody else do the Eddie Norbert competition. One of us counts the Eddie Stobarts we see on a journey and the other counts the Norbert Dentresangles (red lorries, white writing). The one who sees the greater number wins. |

Thank you Sharron I will start and look for the Norbert Dentwhatever the next time I have a drive down the motorway. I don't remember seeing one. As for the Prestons of Potto I couldn't work out for ages what the Potto meant and that it is actually a place ....but you live and learn-lol-jl |

There is another little contest I have with my other half. It started when we were driving to London for so reason. On the A23 there are a couple of transport cafes. There was ND lorry parked outside one and, going a very long way back in my memory, I came out with" Avez vous un saucisson pour mon petit dejeuner?", because ND is a Belgian company and saucisson was the only breakfast food I could remember in French. |

Potto had a lovely pub which did the most wonderful salads imaginable! Don't know if it's still there though as I've not been that way in years. |

There is one called something like Longshore Porterage Company that comes down from Scotland somewhere and the one that always fired my imagination was Seawheel. |
