The biggest problem if it's blocked is hair......like a fur ball in a cat. |

I ruined the motor in my vac because I used an extension lead and no-one told me to pull out all the cable before using it. That caused the vac to have the smell which reminded me of an electric train set.Your vac might need a good clean out as cotton, hair etc does get caught up. -jl |

Coiled up electric leads whether integral to a machine like a hoover or extension lead are a fire risk! Always make sure the lead is fully extended. Is the dustbag full as that might cause machine to overheat? |

as an extra comment ...........remember the old electric fire elements?well, stretched out the wire wont get hot..............but coiled up it gets to red heat......exactly the same happens to an extension lead while coiled on its drum!! |
