We went down to HMS Belfast today. They are doing celebrations for the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings. More of the ship has been opened up to the public. It was great.

Also there is a replica Spitfire at London Bridge Station, so we went for a nosey at that too.

There was a great deal of info for tourists on the ship. We knew most of it because one of the family was in the Navy in County Class, but there were a lot of school kids there.

I think it is worthwhile for kids to know about the conflicts, Pat. Never been to Bletchley, but definitely on our 'to go' list.

Maddie, I remember when I was young and Dad took me for a look around a sub (he was either still in the RN or the Reserves - but not on subs). All I could think about was how did they live in those for any length of time.

'Twas like the time I got a trip down a working mine and travelled out a couple of miles out to sea, several years later. Again, how does anyone do it for any length of time!

What a wuzz! :-D :-D :-D
