I must confess, I used to love sandwich spread - but then I liked salad cream too (is it me or do they taste similar - does sandwich spread contain salad cream?)

Now, I don't bother buying either, but then, I suppose, my diet and taste have changed since I was young. I no longer buy 'wagon wheels' or penny sweets, I much prefer a box of chocolates or a tin of biscuits! :-S

Sandwich spread is salad cream with bits in it Maggie. I like salad cream but not with bits.

I love salad cream, especially with lettuce and boiled egg. Mayonnaise just does not do it with me.

As for a box of chocolates, don't mind if I don't, but a Wagon Wheel especially the ones with the jam in like they always used to have, would be most acceptable.

Wagon wheels definitely aren't the same. :-(

Wagon Wheels are definitely smaller, or I had smaller hands then. :-D :-D

A sausage sandwich I could do with right now. <3

It has to be Marmite (Vegemite) and cheddar cheese sandwiches.

I remember having to make sandwiches at school though for a home economics class. One of my classmates made a boiled rice and chocolate button sandwich. That was strange but not unpleasant sandwich. In saying that we were 12 at the time.

My Owl and I are convinced though that Wagon Wheels are smaller now.

When the Foot and Mouth outbreak was on, Bovril made a vegetarian version which was as delicious as I remember the meat one being.

Now there is such a vegan market, I wish they would make it again.

Cheese and Marmite is lovely but I am not keen on Vegemite. In Namibia, I can't talk for anywhere else, the beer is lighter, German type beer and the Marmite is very different.
