I am not normally a fan of couples choice but Ellies enthusiasm , pleasure and sheer happiness was a tonic to watch.

I also am not a fan or rumba but Alex's Rumba was something else, beautifult to watch

I worry about Diane when she is throwing herself on the floor, I really don't think it is wise for her to be allowed to do it.

As soon as La Voix got through you just knew that Chris would be sent home :-(. Such a shame as he was the only genuine non dancer in the line up and he had improved :-)
With Craig being the head judge the writing was on the wall as he didn't think there was enough Salsa in the routine :-0.

Hey Ho, on to next week :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 20 Oct 2025 07:51

It was so predictable it was almost not worth watching. OK there were too many lifts and he had not actually mastered dancing yet and if Shirley had been lead judge for the dance off it would have gone the other way. (which actually proves something I suppose). And we all knew La Voix should have been in the dance off (including her). I have seen on line that there was a big campaign by followers to keep La Voix in.
But we should be used to it. As Belle says, on to next week. :-(

LondonBelle Report 21 Oct 2025 17:08

Stefan has had to withdraw from Strictly with a torn calf muscle :-(. I wish him a speedy recovery but on the plus side Dianne won't be dancing either while she is pregnant :-)

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 22 Oct 2025 07:21

Shame Stefan had to leave, but it may be for the best for him and Dianne.

There has been rumours that block voting is keeping La Voix in the competition. It would be unfair if better dancers were eliminated instead.

But who know the truth about rumours? :-S :-S

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 22 Oct 2025 08:14

MTG yes I did see a remark somewhere on Sunday where somebody said 2that is good our campaign worked La Voix didn't go out.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 23 Oct 2025 10:02

Téss & Claudia are to leave their presenting roles on Strictly at the end of this Series :-0

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 23 Oct 2025 12:04

I wonder if that is the beginning of the end? Or a complete change to the programme.

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 23 Oct 2025 13:09

I have just got into it so I hope it is simply going to be a change of presenters. it won’t bother me that the current two are going as I can’t see why they were chosen.

What I would like to see if they are going to continue with the show is no stupid whooping as I don’t see why people can’t watch then clap (or not if they think the dance was lousy).

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 23 Oct 2025 14:28

I think any show is bigger than the presenters. I watch the show to see how the celebs have improved and enjoy the dancing not to see Tess and Claudia :-0. Strictly will move on but hopefully without all the whooping:-D

JustGinnie

JustGinnie Report 23 Oct 2025 14:40

From what I have read on FB pages the audience are told to make all the whooping and over the top noise by the staff and the warm up artists. I wish they would tone it down though. I did wonder if being as both Tess and Claudia are both leaving at the same time whether they think that it has run it's course now or if they are both going to do another programme together as they are great friends outside of strictly apparently.

I'm sure that if Strictly continues they will be able to find 2 hosts just as good or better than Tess and Claudia. Although I do like Claudia on all the things I have seen her on.

New hosts don't have to have any knowledge of dancing so could be completely new to strictly. I hope it does continue even if there are a few changes
.

AnninGlos Report 23 Oct 2025 15:06

There is a long list of prospective replacement hosts in the DM. Nobody is indispensable so I am sure it will be ok if it continues. As I read it they had always planned to leave together when they felt the time was right. I am sure that the succsess of Traitors has something to do with it. Roman Kemp, Fleur East, Rylan Clark, Zoe Ball, Janette Manrara, Hollie willoghby to name a few of the suggestions.

LondonBelle Report 26 Oct 2025 07:38

It's now got to that stage in the competition where you have got to know the celebs and you've started to see improvements by them all, some greater than others :-)

There is one celeb that I haven't warmed to and that is Amber, I'm not sure why :-0

I like George but I don't think The Jive was his best dance :-(

Ellie is full of energy and her and Vito are always in sync which is no mean feat with Salsa being so fast :-)

My favorites last night, in no particular order, were

Alex's Foxtrot- her and Johannes made it look so effortless :-)

Harry's Argentine Tango - The Judges were split but I enjoyed it, visually I thought it was great :-D

Jimmy's American Smooth - I thought he so looked the part, he'd even had his beard trimmed to look the part and I think it suited him :-). It's so difficult for the male celebs to lead, especially in ballroom, and I thought he did well for a novice :-)

I'm not sure who will be in the dance off :-0. La Voix should be, although an improvement on last week, that doesn't mean much as it was disastrous last week but against all odds still got through....must have a huge fan base. I can see a dancer that doesn't deserve to go out at this stage going out:-(. Perhaps Karen and Balvinder, with Balvinder to go......I don't envy Anton being the head judge it will be a difficult decision to have to make :-0

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 26 Oct 2025 07:48

Caught up with what I missed last night and those I liked are Alex and Lewis. Both good and I just can’t pick between them.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 26 Oct 2025 07:56

Sad to say I am getting bored with it all. I have to look forward to a programme but this is getting tedious for me. All the daft whooping and shouting, and now some bets in the papers who will take over from Tess and Claudia. If some are true I will not be watching again.

I liked Alex and Jimmy, but was a bit befuddled by Vicky :-S

I have no idea who will be in the dance off, but it will be sad if someone pretty good is going for the sake of anothers popularity.

Just a question, why do the judges have to dress up too?

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 26 Oct 2025 08:00

So hard to judge at this stage as they are all improving. I did like Alex and I enjoyed Lewis as well. I hardly think it worth guessing who will go out as with it being more of a popularity vote La Voix will be kept in I think Balvinder will be in the dance off again not sure who else maybe George.

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 26 Oct 2025 08:02

My money would be on Zoe Ball as one replacement although if she has a breakfast show that might not be feasible.

Edit: as presenter.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 26 Oct 2025 11:10

Apparently there has been a spoiler as to who has been eliminated this week. I havent looked.

Fans are furious as the two couples in the dance off should not be there according to general concensus. So it is turning into a popularity contest rather than talent.

Carcrash this year. :-0

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 26 Oct 2025 21:54

It has been the same previous years but it was a pity.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 27 Oct 2025 07:01

What a farce....Jimmy shouldn't have gone :-0 :-|
