Yes a good final and a good result. George will go on to do well now and Amber will have plenty of offers I am sure. A hard evening for Tess and Claudia and sorry to see them go.
Thanks MTG for the thread and see you all next year.

For me it was always going to be a toss up between Karen & George, either would be a worthy winner to raise the Glitterball :-)

The dance of the night for me was Karen's Argentine Tango, she was so light and quick on her feet as she was for most of her dances :-)

I thought George had done exceedingly well and that he felt the experience had made him a better person. I thought that Anton's remark that he hoped that his 8 year son, also called George, would turn into a person like George was a lovely thing to say <3

Karen winning overshadowed Tess & Claudia's departure which is how it should be, at the end of the day the show is about the dancers :-)

All over for another year.....Keep Dancing ;-)

I am so pleased that Karen won, but a little sad that George came second. :-D :-(

I think there would have been a riot if Amber had lifted the trophy. She will never be out of work in shows, so this has been another stepping stone for her.

Lovely to see all the past dancers, although some of them were still plodding along ;-)

Dianne was jumping around still, which amazed me, and wonderful to see Amy looking so well ;-) <3

I knew when Craig arrived with the letter it would have been from Camilla, as she is a big fan of the show. :-)

So apart from the Christmas edition, it is over for another year.

Thank you to everyone who added to the thread, it was fun <3

Til next year....................Keep Dancing :-D :-D

I really enjoyed that final, and the winner really deserved to win.

Lots of tears, from Tess and Claudia too.

I have a feeling that they are looking outside of the existing pros and judges as they want a fresh start with a new team. and I also get the impression they want a male/female pair.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 16 Dec 2025 08:37

Oh please not Excitable Annie!

I would like Anton and Jeanette Manmara. They are they both very likeable and know what they are talking about. :-)

JoyLouise Report 16 Dec 2025 08:07

I think Zoe was mentioned a while ago - but I, too, hope that Alan Carr will not be her sidekick 'cos he doesn't half go on and faffs about too much for me.

There was also some mention of Alison ??? but it would be good to have a male judge alongside Zoe - perhaps someone like Darren Bennett or of the same ilk?

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 15 Dec 2025 16:34

Yes there is that, I agree. But think if we get them both :-| :-0

Andysmum

Andysmum Report 15 Dec 2025 16:22

I'd rather have Zoe than Alan Carr, who has also been mooted as a possible, since winning Celebrity Traitors. :-| :-|

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 15 Dec 2025 12:33

Zoe Ball, I think she has tried to say she won't be doing the job but I am not sure if she was serious. The thought of her unrelenting 'cheeriness' is a bit off putting.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 15 Dec 2025 08:58

Well that was no surprise at all :-P

I though Balvindar was wonderful in her leaving message. She said she had been watching since she was a child, and it was exactly what she thought it would be. She thanked everyone and was so gracious. Who will forget her Bangra dance, she was so joyous. <3

I hope those glitterballs that they presented to Tess and Claudia were metal, cos they looked plastic to me. :-0

So it rolls on to next week, I hope it is George or Karen, but they have the odds stacked against them :-(

I see Zoe Ball has given up her Saturday radio show. Maybe I am being cynical, but her name was in the frame for the presenting job :-0 :-0

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 15 Dec 2025 08:16

Well it was sort of predictable wasn't it.
But wasn't Belvinder great in her leaving speech. I think that she has got as much out of the competition as anybody.
The final will be interesting I think.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 15 Dec 2025 07:14

Such a shame for Balvinder :-(. She knew her fate as soon as Amber's name was announced :-(

As we've mentioned there is no way that Amber will lift the Glitter all.....so who will it be :-0......George or Karen :-)

Did you see that Dianne was still dancing in the Pro dances .. The Jive FGS :-0. She is beginning to fill out now ;-)

How different Claudia looked without black eye make up :-0

Onwards and upwards ;-)

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 14 Dec 2025 13:37

Yes I agree with Belle, there were no lessons learnt there. It is if they do these things to cause controversy and forget that the people they choose, while being excellent dancers and probably likeable people. they are human. I dislike these times when people feel that it is Ok to send hate mail as they can't be identified.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 14 Dec 2025 13:25

I agree with Andysmum that if Amber does get to the Final the Public won't vote for her the winner will come from one of the other two Finalists :-0

I too disagree with hate-mail. At the end of the day it was the Beeb that chose her to be a Contestant, so any complaints should be sent to them :-0. What the Beeb should have done was give the vacant place to a 'non-dancer' and then given them a bye for the first week so they had time to catch up :-)
You would have thought that the Beeb would have learnt from all the kerfuffle with Layton Williams :-0

Andysmum

Andysmum Report 14 Dec 2025 12:29

I think, if Amber is in the final, she won't win, because the public won't vote for her and the judges have no say. One of the other two finalists will lift the glitter ball.

I also reckon that the organisers knew exactly what they were doing when they chose Amber and Lewis to make up the numbers. At the time someone said that they would be able to catch up the missing 3 weeks training more easily because of their previous experience.

As for hate-mail - that shouldn't be sent to anyone. :-(

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 14 Dec 2025 12:10

And the real winners will be the other two finalists. small consolation to them but I think they will feel that too.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 14 Dec 2025 10:46

I am totally agree Amber should not be in the competition, but she is. She is a professional dancer who is in the West End, but someone in their infinite wisdom thought she would be a great choice. I think her background only came out after.

And yes, if she is in the dance off, and Craig is judging, she will be saved.

I think the writing is on the wall :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 14 Dec 2025 08:46

Whoever will be out it will not be Amber. Especially as Craig is the final judge. In case anyone has not noticed he likes Amber. Yes she is a beautiful dancer to watch but SHE SHOULD NOT BE THERE AT ALL. she belongs with the professional dancers' They were all good. George gave us great entertainment, I love Belvinder for her personality but she is not really worthy technically of winning. Although I would be first to cheer if she did.. Karen was great tonight and I like her too. I don't like Amber's simpering personality.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 14 Dec 2025 07:58

Oh what a tangled web they weave :-0 :-0

There was nothing to choose between them all this week, as they all upped their game again!

Balvindar, Karen and George all put in stonking performances, and quite rightly got fulsome praise. Very hard to choose between them all.

Amber did what she was expected to do, and put in an exceptional performance. However, she has been getting hate mail all week because she was kept in and Lewis was eliminated. No matter how you cut it, I dont think she deserved all that. It was the judges who saved her, and let Lewis go.

So who to be knocked out this week? Havent a clue! :-0 :-0
