CHILD killer Ian Huntley is on hunger strike in protest at tough new jail conditions. The Soham beast has not eaten since last Tuesday following a pledge by bosses at top-security Wakefield Prison to end his cushy life inside. They made the vow after public outrage at his perks which include a PlayStation, TV, and comfy new duvet. Whining Huntley, 33, is taking only liquids and has told jail staff he will not eat again. A source at the jail said: “Let’s hope he means it this time.” Huntley is also angry at the refusal to allow him to leave the prison’s medical wing. Restrictions there mean he has to meet jail pals in a day room rather than in his cell. The source added: “He’s used to a cushy life inside. As soon as he doesn’t get his own way, he throws his toys out of the pram.” The Ministry of Justice refused to comment last night. Huntley — serving life for murdering ten-year-olds Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman — has gone on hunger strike before and made three suicide attempts in prison. The Lord Chancellor has told him he will die behind bars.

Nothing surprises me anymore! Sutcliff and many more notorious murderers including paedophiles are often visited/written to/ sent presents and have marriage proposals.

ChrisofWessex Report 19 Jun 2007 14:18

Just read in a newspaper today that people actually send him cards wishing him well and send him money - he receives on average £30 per month which he spends in the tuckshop on cakes etc. I cannot believe that people would actually wish him well. Lives were lost and lives were ruined because of this man.

Awful thing about this is that they won't let him starve to death.... Ian Brady tried this one years ago, and is still living......more's the pity.....

He's whinging cos he can't see his special friend.Does he really think anyone cares, he didn't care that Holly & Jessicas parents will never see their lovely daughters ever again. Prison authorities sure know how to rub it in when it matters, well done officers.
