Sadly my dishwasher has reached the end of it's life. I have well and truly had my money's worth from it so can't complain after about 15 years. Anyway time to purchase a new one. Do any off you have recommendations re make or horror stories. I would be most grateful as the last thing I want to do is buy a lemon. Thanks Pat |

well we only have room for a slimline dishwasher. (its not me cos aint slim lol)) our first one was a Bosch lasted 15 years and was used every night. We had problems getting another slimline one that was integrated and had to settle on a Miele. Was expensive.£899!! But is great, very quiet.which is a boon cos ours is on overnight for economy. I would certainly splash out again on a Miele seems very well built and reliable. Its being going now for about 4 years and still OK . Shirley |

It is often down to budget these days. Go to a site such as Kelkoo and do some comparisons. Our last machine was a Zannussi - we bought their appliances for many years but felt that the quality dropped after they were taken over by Electrolux. That machine went faulty after 5 years. We now have a Bosch and whilst it was a little more expensive does appear to be of a much better build. AEG also have a good reputation and if you are feeling flush you can't beat Miele. |

Hal Bosch sounds good marigolds are cheaper of course. Shirley Miele must be fantastic at £899 but I'm afraid for an OAP beyond my reach OH wouldn't let me purchase any certs if I bought that. Joy thanks for the offer again can't afford it. Peter thanks that's 2 recommendations for Miele, Bosch and AEG. I heard Zanussi were not so great now Thanks folks Pat |

Pat, Well we couldnt afford it outright so took it on 12 months interest free, If i had to replace again and couldnt afford the Miele would certainly go for Bosch. |

Dear Patricia, I know that Bosch are a bit more expensive than other machines, but from my own experience, they are worth every penny! My Bosch dishwasher has been trouble-free for the past six years, and my second Bosch upright freezer out in the garage weathers extreme temperature changes throughout the year. The first freezer lasted over twenty years. When my current washing machine gives up the ghost, I am planning to replace it with a Bosch. Have a look on Money Saving Expert.com. Joanna |

Mau, Chris and Joanna Well Bosch definatley seems to be the most popular. Joanna I will look on Money Saving Expert I don't mind paying for a good machine it's just that the £900 is out of my range. Thanks everyone I really do appreciate your advice. Pat |

Had a Bosch for years, but the door catch wore away with the constant use......had 3 children, lots of dishes......looked at others, but went for the Bosch again......and there it sits as I type, doing its job...... |
