All the old Greats Lynn, Tommy Trinder, Arthur Askey, Norman Wisdom, Sid James, Kenneth Williams, Kenneth Connor, Bernard Bresslaw etc....there were a few ladies too who always managed to make me smile like Margaret Rutherford.....too many to list! Great films and more gentler times...all innocent fun!! Nanna-Moo ;-))

tommy cooper was so funny, that he didn't need to say anything, he just walked around the stage, picking things up, looking at them, tossing them over his shoulder, looking at the audience, and just shrugging his shoulders. bryan.

All the old-timers were comedians. Made you laugh at something funny. Todays so called funny men can only make you snigger with embarrassment. Just how many times can you say the 'F' word and make it funny. even the silent films were funny. Funny Ha-Ha, not funny perculiar

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 27 Apr 2007 15:32

No, no, no, no, no, naughty Lynn. Not funny, not even - that funny where '-' is a very small thing Gwynne

*cries* and don't even think about saying 'Just like that' not funny. I can remember watching in total disbelief my grandfather watching Norman Wisdom with tears of hysteria rolling down his face. Still don't get it, Mr Grimsdale Gwynne
