My Dad likes a gemstone globe on there I have seen it and would like to have a go but can't seem to make head nor tale of how to do it. So I thought look at what time it's showing online - there is a item list but there doesn't appear to be any times when they are on - I simply can't just sit there waiting. Also when do you know if you have been successful? And... it says 'endeavour' 7 day delivery... anyone had any experience on how long delivery on average usually takes? I only have 7 days left until Dad's bithday and have been trying to get my head around it for about 2 weeks. I'm slowly losing the will to live! Sorry it's a bit rushed but I've posted during my lunch break - I shall take another look in later. Gaynor :-) UPDATE PAGE 2... |

It says there are some coming up tonight on TV at 20:52. I have ordered a couple of things & they have come within the time scale. |

Hi Gaynor I've used Bid-TV and Price-Drop (they're all sister sites) but not online because I can't get my head round it either lol! I've bought quite a few things from seeing them on the tv channel and then ringing in. On tv, the prices drop and you get in before all the stock goes, hoping that the price will drop even lower. I've only had one bad experience, which they did eventually put right, everything else I've been really happy with. Mandy :) PS, let us know how you get on! |

Forgot to say, my items have always arrived well within the 7 days except near Christmas. Penny, I don't know for sure but I would guess from having watched the tv programme that you do have to wait until the item is shown on tv before you know whether your bid's been successful. Mandy :) |

I've never tried it online either. Do you have to wait until it's on the TV until you know whether you have won or not? |

I actually put my bid in online No it wasn't on TV but it is being shown tonight It was actually quite easy once I started to follow the proceedure. I just hope I get it cos Dad really likes it. Anyway I have set a reminder on my moby to take a look 20 minutes before the bids close so that I can look at the prices and reconsider if necessary fingers crossed guys Gaynor :-) |

I have bought both on the phone and the web. Online you put in your maximum bid and then when the item comes up on air, it will automatically bid you in when price drops to your maximum. If it doesn't get that low, it's tough, you don't win, but on most of my things I have got them for less. All depends on item etc - you can look at previous items and how much they have gone for to give you an idea of how low price is likely to go. If you have won, they will contact you for payment. Dawn ps, never had any problem with delivery times and once had to return something and was easy with no probs |

On the main bid tv site there is a menu on left hand side and it says previous auctions at bottom. Just had a quick look through first 10 pages but didn't have any on those. Best thing to do is pick a price you'd be happy to go up to and stick with it. Good luck! Dawn |

Could I just ask another question please? Once you have put a bid in... If you want to put another bid in (for example if you don't think the bids are going low enough) Do you have to make a fresh bid? and If you bid twice - could you end up with two items? Thanks Gaynor:-) |

Hi Iv'e bought heaps of stuff of bib tv...the end price is what everyone pays.... no matter when you put your bid in...I always wait till the amount of items and cost goes down a bit ..to get a rough idea of what I will end up paying...remember to add on the postage and packing fee ...usually £7.50 .. to £8.99... or you can go on line at ...idealworldtv.co.uk....and watch previouse programes...and onse coming up next....delivery 5 to 7 days .. mine usually arrive 3.to 4... hope this helps....items worth the money.... Well I keep checking the website... All the other globes are showing changing prices but the one I want just shows Starting price £355.00 Current price £1.00 All the other globes say 'Clearance' but the one I want says 'bid tv' and I know that one in a different colour was auctioned this morning cos I was watching the changing price but it's nowhere to be seen on todays previous auctions. Does anyone know if they cancel items being auctioned? Gaynor (feeling anxious) |

It doesn't take place until 20:44pm so it will be later tonight... Its the smallest one 150mm - I saw one going for £41.12 and still falling this morning for the same size but different colour. They are about this price on ebay too but not the colour I want. That's another thing that's bothering me... my bid was for £40.00 - I am prepared to go slightly higher but having put one online bid in already I'm worried that they might send two globes. Gaynor |

Hi Gaynor The one you want, that says starting bid £1.00, is that the one that's showing as being on television tonight? If so, you won't know whether you've got it until the auction ends (or if you realise that the price is going lower than your bid). Also, they're usually running a bit late on tv so if it says, for instance, 8-9pm then it probably won't be on until nearer 9.30 lol! Mandy :) |
