Hi Fiona We've been through times similar to yours in the past, but you do come through, and I think very often a stonger person for it. I pray that your daughter's results will be good. Even if they are not what you want to hear, they can do so much these days, so please try to be upbeat as much as you can. I don't know how much faith you have, but there is a little phrase which comes to mind - 'and underneath are the everlasting arms'. Whether it be God or not, there is something out there that will help you to find the strength to endure. God bless you all. Pauline xx |

Goodmorning all. Thank you so much, everyone has been so nice even when they are still going through or getting over a loss or illness to them or their family. You are all truely wonderful!!!! I think the worst is the waiting. Jackie, thank you that is a beautiful poem. I'll send that on to my mother-in-law. She's still finding hard after my father-in-laws sudden death but she does have great faith in god, I know she'll love that poem. Fiona. xxx |

Hi Fiona Nothing I could say would help with your worry but this poem below may help Take Care Regards Jackie Angels and Friends Angels are here, beside us, on earth - as well as in heaven above. You can tell them by their compassion and help - by their unconditional love. An angel can be a friend you have - or someone you don't even know; They come to us when we need them most and never just turn and go. We all have many angels; God sends them by the score And if we need another hand, he sends a dozen more. They give Comfort when we're lonely and when we're filled with fear; Give Hope for us to smile when we'd only shed a tear. Guidance helps us choose a path when we're lost along the way; Protection is always with us through every night and day. Beauty helps us count our blessings; to look around and see The wonders of the sky and earth; the beauty of a tree. So when your heart is heavy and you think it will not mend, Don't be surprised when an angel comes and you know you have a friend. |

It's so tough when lots of rotten things happen at once isn't it? Thinking of you through this toigh time with your family and ... as others have said your 'virtual' family on GR will support you as much as they can. Hugs to you and your daughter (((((((())))))))))) Kate |

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts! Catherine, Just got the ultra sound back which told us it's was a Mass not a cyst as I'd hoped. Our doctor then refered us to a surgeon, my daughters appointment with her is Dec 1st. I got the impression from the doctor that a biopsy would be done at that time and that she would be explaining everything to us and if to wait a couple of months, do a rescan to see if it's grown or not or to go ahead with the biopsy as soon as. Not sure I like the idea of waiting, think I'd rather know now and be safe. Of course my daughter does have a say and she's said herself she'd rather know now! We will listen to the surgeon and then deside, although I think my daughter has already made up her mind and she more stubborn than me. And thats saying something. Fiona. xxx |
