My children have already got a copy of the tree..well, unfinished tree..I have done it for them as I knew nothing about the family..No one seemed to talk about any brothers or sisters,grandparents,I'm talking about...! Yes - I've passed Pedigree charts on to various people and will hopefully get a more ordered tree together sometime to pass on to my nieces and nephews hoping that at least one of them will keep it and pass it on to the next generation. it's taken a lot of time - and money - so far so I want others to benefit. My family all know I am doing the family tree, and I have most of it in paper form so that they can read it for themselves, but I did have a conversation today with one of my daughters, and asked her how they would know where to look online for the information I have saved. It made me realise I need to write down which sites I am using and also passwords etc. They might not be that interested at the moment, but I am sure they will be later. Frances |
