I have a very tenuous and as yet unproven connection to Bernard Matthews ( he of Turkey fame). According to my father and his siblings Bernard is my grandmothers cousin - but of course they can't supply any further information. I will eventually get round to looking into that 'rumour' but am still concentrating on my direct lines. In addition, I'm not sure I'd want to claim relationship as I am opposed to factory farming and don't eat processed food. Mind you if he leaves unclaimed millions on his death I might have to prove relationship. Morals - what are they? T.O.R. :~))

I've recently found a branch of 'Lincoln' rellies from Heigham, in Norfolk. The same place Abraham Lincoln's ancestors came from. :-p

Paul Stop It now - I'll need a commode at this rate. Please behave and stop insulting a potential benefactor of mine. Heard about the f*** wits he employees - didn't see it but couldn't it be argued that their behaviour was just a blatent example of less obvious cruelty within the meat industry. No I'm not a vegetarian I just make sure I source organic free range products. T.O.R. :~))

Paul Report 10 Nov 2006 15:30

Not that long ago Selina, must have been about 3 months ago. A friend of mine is an Animal Rights Campaigner, and is always protesting outside the Matthew's household, and the factories. One year he even camped on the Front Lawn of the Matthews Mansion during Christmas day But, the family were sunning it up in Barbados at the time. pmsl.

I worked for a veterinary practice that supplied vets to the slaughter houses, and yes that included the chicken variety, I tell you if you had seen what I have seen you would all be vegetarians overnight. Kathlyn
